FAQs

  • The insertion of the needle through the epidermis may feel like a little pinch but mostly painless. After the muscle react and contracts, there may be dull, tender, tingling, warm, radiating sensations.

  • It is like a reversed massage, instead of exerting downward force on the body, the deoxygenated cup creates a suction drawing fascia and muscles upwards. The first 5-10 seconds may feel like a strong suction pull, afterwards it will feel like a soft suction untying all the knots and tightness in the body.

  • Each of us has a unique body constitution and response to treatments differently; therefore, will see results on different timelines. However, here are some general timeframes.

Musculoskeletal conditions: 3-9 acupuncture sessions, 1-2 times per week depending on the pain level
Bell's Palsy: 2-5 weeks, 2 acupuncture sessions per week, will typically take 10 sessions
Hormonal Imbalance: 2-3 months, 1 to 2 acupuncture sessions per week
Menstrual Irregularities: At least 3 cycles, 1 to 2 acupuncture sessions per week
Mood Disorders: 4-5 weeks, 1 to 2 acupuncture sessions per week depending on severity
Infertility: At least 3 months of consistent acupuncture session, 2 acupuncture sessions per week
Facial/Cosmetic Acupuncture: At least 10 consistent acupuncture session, 1-2 acupuncture sessions per week

  • The treatment plan is divided into two phases: the treatment phase and the maintenance phase. During the treatment phase, you will receive regular sessions until your condition is resolved. Once resolved, we will schedule 1 to 2 additional follow-up appointments to ensure the results are stable. After the treatment phase, some conditions may require ongoing maintenance. The maintenance phase could involve monthly treatments or sessions every few months, depending on how you feel.

  • Something that is comfortable and can be comfortably rolled up. Avoid tight non-stretchy clothing.

  • Please complete the new patient consent forms and intake online before your visit. Additionally, we recommend having a light meal and drinking water beforehand to help prevent low blood sugar during your treatment.
