Emma Cheung (Naiying Cheung)’s passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine stem from her family’s medical background, her grandfather practiced acupuncture in Guangzhou, China and her grandmother was an internal medicine physician.
Emma grew up in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University. She holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(GZUCM) in China. Emma has over 5 years of clinical expertise in diverse hospital and private clinic settings.
At The First Affiliated Hospital of GZUCM, she studied and worked under renowned Doctor Chen XingHua. As Doctor Chen XingHua’s student, Emma is the 3rd generation of School of Jin Three-Needle, a unique acupuncture technique that utilize groups of three acupuncture points on the body to treat many types of conditions.
At Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Emma is part of the Comprehensive Pain Management Clinic team. The Comprehensive Pain Management Clinic team specializes in treating children with a range of conditions, including but not limited to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and sickle cell disease.
As a healthcare professional, Emma places a strong emphasis on women's health and preventive care. She advocates for prioritizing personal health, self-care, and adequate rest. Emma is dedicated to providing her patients with exceptional care and improving their overall quality of life through her practice.
When Emma is not at her Acupuncture office in Columbus, Ohio, she enjoys being in the outdoors. She also enjoys practicing Qi Gong to self-regulate and to stay grounded.
